Bollywood movie actor Akshay Kumar’s actual name is Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia and he is professionally known as Akshay Kumar. He was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India on 9th September 1967.
He has completed his school education from Don Bosco High School, Matunga, Mumbai. While studying simultaneously he studying Karate. Later he enrolled in Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Arts, Science & Commerce (Matunga, Mumbai) for higher education. But due to lack of interest in studies, he dropped out from the college.
He studied higher version of martial arts (Karate, Taekwondo, Muay Thai) in Hong Kong. To meet the day today expenditure as well as to pay the fees for learning advanced Karate training, he worked as a Chef in a Hong Kong Restaurant.
Prior to acting in the Bollywood movies, Akshay Kumar has already become an expert in Martial Art and he was widely known as Bruce Lee of India.
He got married a movie actress Twinkle Khanna who is the daughter of former Bollywood movie superstar Rajesh Khanna.
In 1991, Akshay Kumar started his acting career in the Bollywood movies and his first movie was Saugandh.
In 1992, he acted in a Bollywood movie titled “Khiladi” that has literally made him a Superstar within a shorter period.
In 1994, Akshay Kumar started acting in the action movies. He acted in many action thriller Bollywood movies such as Elaan, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi and Mohra, etc. At that time Mohra was one of the highest-grossing films of the year.

Akshay Kumar rushed to the family of Rifleman Prabhu Singh of Rajasthan whose body was allegedly mutilated by Pakistani troops on Nov 22, 2016. He also extended financial help to his family by depositing Rs 9 lakh rupees in their account.
He also provided financial help to the family of a military personal NK Narpat Singh Rathore who was killed in an attack by ULFA militants in Assam in November 2016.
