Ever since Trinamool Congress won the West Bengal assembly election with thumping majority, BJP has been facing worst ever political humiliation at the hands of Trinamool Congress lead Mamata Banerjee.
TMC’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is now dealing with BJP in an aggressive manner. She is now trying to bring back majorities of the defected leaders who have joined BJP prior to the last assembly election.
Many BJP leaders, MLA’s and thousands of their party workers are now leaving BJP and joining in Trinamool Congress. BJP’s central and state party leaders never imagined such kind of reverse trend would occurs in West Bengal.
Top brass BJP leaders are now a panic situation and they are now finding difficulty in stopping their MLA’s ongoing exodus towards TMC. State BJP leaders are now running behind of those BJP legislators who have been either missing or hiding prior to joining in the TMC.
Ever since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister of India in 2014, BJP has utilized money and political power to encourage massive defection from other parties, removed many elected state government and installed their own government. To achieve their goal they have allegedly paid multi crore rupees for the legislators.
With the help of defected MLA’s they have managed to install statement in various states such as Karnataka, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Pondicherry, Bihar, Tripura etc.
BJP is now paying heavy price for purchasing other party leaders and MLA’s to install their own government and to expand their political base in various states
But the BJP’s attempt to form a government in Maharashtra and Rajasthan failed miserably. In Rajasthan, Congress party has successfully thwarted their attempt to destabilizing the congress government.
Whereas in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena-Congress-NCP combine unitedly thwarted BJP’s attempt to form a government by engineering defection from NCP and congress party.
Prior to the West Bengal assembly election, BJP has purchased many Trinamool Congress party leaders and MLA’s by utilizing their money and political power.
By purchasing man TMC leaders and MLA’s, BJP central and state leaders thought that majorities of the BJP’s assembly candidates would win the election and they would be able to form a government in West Bengal with a thumping majority.
Contrary to their expectation, most of their candidates lost heavily and they were able to garner only 77 assembly seats.
Whereas, the Mamata Banerjee lead Trinamool Congress Party won 213 assembly seats and Mamata Banerjee became the Chief Minister of West Bengal with thumping majority in the state Assembly.
Prior to the last assembly election in West Bengal, BJP has succeeded in defecting Mukul Roy from TMC and later he joined in BJP. But the same Mukul Roy has come back TMC fold few months back.
The same way former Union Minister Babul Supriyo also resigned from BJP and joined in the TMC. Many more senior, junior and newly elected BJP legislators are now willing to join in TMC.
Till now BJP was thinking that BJP is the only party that is capable for engineering defection from other parties in a massive manner, destabilizing other party’s elected government and to install their own government by hook and crook method.
But now they properly understood that other parties are also capable of doing the same and they can inflict heavy political damaged to BJP in a various manner.
Encouraging defection and destabilizing the elected government in the state is a curse of Indian politics. Hence, hereafter the BJP leaders should refrain from indulging such kind of illegal activities and let the elected government function their duties as per the aspiration of the people.
