American President elect Joe Biden was born on 20th November 1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. He completed B.A. Degree in History and Political Science from the University of Delaware and then completed a law degree from Syracuse University.
Joe Biden is a renowned politician of U.S.A. and he was the 47th Vice President of the United States under Barack Obama regime from 2009 to 2017.
Joe Biden was one of the first Senators who convinced former U.S. President Bill Clinton to enhance cordial relationship with India in 1990s. He was also the main instrumental in materializing the 123 Agreement signed between the United States of America and the Republic of India that is known as the U.S.–India Civil Nuclear Agreement or Indo-US nuclear deal. The framework for this agreement signed by then Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and then U.S. President George W. Bush on 18th July 2005.
Later Joe Biden served in the Obama Administration and he categorically called India is a major defense partner of U.S. He also endorsed India for a permanent seat in the UN Security Council.
Considering Joe Biden’s vast political contributions towards U.S.A, he received many awards such as Syracuse’s highest alumni award, Medal of freedom award from Kosovo and Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Minority Forum and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
In 1972, at the age of 29 Joe Biden became the fifth youngest Senator of U.S.A. He served in the United States Senate as a Senator from Delaware for a period of 36 years (from 1973 to 2009) and he is the Delawares longest serving Senator. He was also the chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
He is famous for his work on Criminal Justice Issues and he played a major role in rebuilding the U.S. Economy just after U.S.A. faced crippling economic recession started in 2008.
