Recently Tamil Movie Superstar Rajinikanth surprised his entire fans and supporters by declaring that he would not enter into electoral politics in future.

At the same time he has abolished the function of Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM) that he formed for launching a political party in Tamil Nadu. While abolishing the same, he assured his fans that he would keep continue helping the suffering people through his Fans Welfare Clubs.

It seems that he has taken this decision after a great deal of thought and after witnessing the worst ever electoral debacle the movie superstar Kamala Hassan faced in the last Tamil Nadu Assembly election.

Rajinikanth is one of the finest movie actors in India. He has been acting in Tamil movies for the past 35 years.

Rajinikanth is now reckoning as par with other past and present Indian movie superstars such as Rajesh Khanna, M.G. Ramachandran, N.T. Rama Rao, Sivaji Ganesan, Ashok Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Devanand, Gemini Ganesan, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Kamal Hasan, etc.

During his decades long movie career, he has acted more than 160 Indian movies. Out of the same, majorities of the movies he has acted in Tamil only. Some of his Tamil movies such as “Billa”, “Muthu”, “Sivaji” and “Enthiran”, etc. was mega hit.

Rajinikanth acted in many Bollywood movies such as “Hum”, “Andha Kanoon”, “Bhagwaan Dada”, “Aatank hi Aatank”, “Chaalbaaz”, etc.

Considering his vast contribution towards Indian Cinema as an actor, producer and a screenwriter, he has been honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2000 and Padma Vibhushan in 2016.

He was also been awarded the prestigious 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2019. He was the 12th South Indian Movie actor to receive this prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

• He was the person who returned the money to his distributors from his own pocket when they suffered lot after his films Baba did not perform well at the box office.
• When the entire Chennai was suffering from worst ever floods, he cancelled his birthday celebrations and donated 10 crore rupees to the flood relief fund. He asked his entire his fans and supporters to take part in the flood relief and rehabilitation work.
• He has always been punctual in reaching at film shooting site. He never let anybody to wait for him for shooting the movie.
• He never forgotten those people who have immensely helped him while he was passing through the difficult period. That was the main reason Rajnikanth has dedicated his Dadasaheb Phalke Award to his close friend Raj Bahadur who helped him to start his movie career. Raj Bahadur was a bus driver while Rajinikanth was working as a conductor in the same bus. Raj Bahadur immensely helped Rajinikanth in various way to become an actor.
• Rajinikanth has always been a true gentleman and he gives utmost respect to everybody whenever the shooting is ongoing.

As the DMK and AIADMK parties are always dominating in the Tamil Nadu politics, it is not easy for Rajinikanth to create miracle in Tamil Nadu politics. Hence, his decision to stay from the Tamil Nadu politics is highly appreciable.
