Every year on 14th April, Indian people are celebrating B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti and the same day is also observed as an Equality day of India. On 14.04.2021 India has celebrated B.R. Ambedkar’s 130th birth anniversary.
During this day, the entire Indians remembered his relentless political fight for getting fundamental rights of Dalits, untouchables and the women as well.
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was born in a poor Dalit family on 14 April 1891 at Mhow village of Madhya Pradesh, India. During his childhood period, he faced lot of socio- economic discrimination and untouchability.
B.R. Ambedkar taken doctorates in economics from Columbia University as well as from the University of London. Prior to acquiring doctorate he was an economist, professor as well as a lawyer.
B.R. Ambedkar was a good politician, freedom fighter, good economist, Lawyer, great leader and a good social worker of India. He was also the main Architect of the Indian Constitution as well as building a strong, united and credible India.
Ambedkar was the first Law and Justice Minister of India in Jawaharlal Nehru’s government. During this period he worked tirelessly towards a society where everyone is treated as equals.
In recognition of his legal expertise, he was appointed as a Chairman of the seven members drafting committee for framing a broad based Indian constitution.
Being a head of the constitutional drafting committee, B.R. Ambedkar played a significant role in materializing a broad based Indian Constitution. That is the reason he was called as “Father of Indian constitution”.
He was a great intellectual regarding the caste issues in India and he became the main voice of Dalit community. He was also the main instrumental for the Dalit Buddhist Movement in India. He vehemently tried for a society that is governance based on the principle of equality and justice.
He tried his level best to empower the downtrodden section socially and politically and to uplift them socially and politically and was eager in eradicating the huge caste divide in the Hindu society in India.
He was always against the inequality within the cast and always been fighting for preserving human dignity to make India a better place in the world.
Considering his vehement efforts in preserving human dignity in the country and his wide range knowledge about the social subjects and the law & order, he was called as “Champion of Fundamental Rightsâ.
He strongly advocated for the industrialization, urbanization in the country and argued for keeping the major/key industries under the government control. He was off the opinion that the capitalism would lead to exploitation of poor people and it would always been detrimental to the downtrodden people of the society.
He tried his level best to promote the collective farming system for landless labours to enable them to survive in the society in a decent and better manner.
He was a versatile, intellectual, revolutionary, philosopher, patriot, scholar, writer, and was the main architect of making Indian constitution.
B.R. Ambedkar was a hard working and inspirational person who worked hard for uplifting the economically backward people and those who were suffering from caste discrimination. He is still a source of guidance not only for Dalit Community but also the entire people in India.
His vast contribution towards Indian politics and Indian society will be remembered forever.
