In March 2020 Indian National Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi clearly warned Indian Government that within a shorter period coronavirus would reemerge like a tsunami that would shake Indian economy and the normal life in a severe manner.
Just after one year, India is now experiencing the second wave of Coronavirus that is now hitting very hard in India. This time coronavirus is much more ferocious and it has been spreading much faster like a tsunami.
It seems that the government and the people of this country did not take care of his warning in a serious manner at that time. That might have been the reason, the government has relaxed majorities of the Covid 19 rules that they have imposed earlier.
Because of our negligence India is now paying heavy price. Day today infection rate and the death rate of the second wave of coronavirus is much higher than earlier one.
On 24.04.2021 itself, more than 3.49 lakhs fresh infection case have been reported and 2767 people have already been died in India.
India is now facing lack of medical oxygen, Medical Oxygen tankers, Oxygen Storage facilities.
India also facing shortage of oxygen containers, oxygen cylinders, regulators and other essential medicines also.
Many people are now dying without getting adequate oxygen and thousands of people are still suffering from the same.
Indian government is now taking rigorous action to import all the essential items including 23 mobile oxygen generation plants from abroad on a war foot manner to ensure the essential medical related items are freely available for the people wherever and as and when required.
It seems that the Narendra Modi Government still not yet learned appropriate lesson from the Covid 19 threat. They have completely neglected Rahul Gandhi’s earlier warning regarding Covid 19 threat. They are not at all ready to accept former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s five point suggestion sent to Prime Minister to address the ongoing Covid 19 crisis.
Instead of taking his suggestion in a positive manner, recently Union Minister Harsh Vardhan shot back a letter to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, requesting him to ask Congress men to follow all his five point suggestions.
Instead of calling for an all party meeting to discuss and to chalk out a National strategy to contain Covid 19, Union Government is now completely neglecting opposition party leaders and flatly discarding their suggestions/advises too.
India should learn the lesson from the government of Israel and their people. Israel is the country that has successfully contained coronavirus with the support of their people. With the support of their citizen, the government has successfully provided vaccination to those who have crossed 16 years.
As the threat of coronavirus has comes down down drastically, recently Government of Israel has asked their people not to wear the mask in public. At the same time they have asked the people to wear the mask whenever they are carrying out indoor activities.
To contain this ferocious coronavirus, India has to carrying massive vaccination drive across the country without any delay.
It is the duty of Indian citizen to follow the government’s safety guidelines in an effective manner and work shoulder to shoulder with the government to defeat the coronavirus once and for all.
