On 08.11.2021, the veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani celebrated his 94th birthday.
On this occasion, birthday wishes poured in through social medias, messages and other communication channels from his hardcore fans, supporters and the leaders of various political party leaders across India.
L.K. Advani was the President of BJP from 1986 to 1991. He also served as a Deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004 under Atal Bihari Vajpayee lead BJP Government in center.
L.K. Advani was born in Karachi and his date of birth was on 8th November 1927. During the partition period, his family migrated to India from Karachi and settled down in Bombay.
He is one of the main architects of bringing Bharatiya Janata Party as a major national political party of India.
While he was serving as a Deputy Prime Minister of India, he has given staunch political support to his Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee.
Though L.K. Advani was always been following hardline Hidutava policies, but his political chemistry with moderate minded leader like A.B. Vajpayee was excellent.
Considering their good political chemistry, understanding and the consensus in various national issues, many political pundits commented that the relationship between Advani-Vajpayee relationship was like “fire and ice combination” or the “bad cop-good cop style”
L.K. Advani never taken any anti-Vajpayee stand even after having lot of political difference among each other.
L.K. Advani was leading BJP’s parliament election campaign on two different occasions. The first one was in 2004 and the other one was in 2009.
In 2004 Parliament election A.B. Bajpayee was the Prime Ministerial candidate of BJP. But the BJP did not get adequate seats in the parliament to form the government.
Whereas in 2009, L.K. Advani was the Prime Ministerial candidate of BJP. He could have become Prime Minister of India, had the BJP won majorities of seats in 2009 Parliament election.
Unfortunately 2009 Parliament election also BJP did not get the majority in the parliament.
In 2013, during the six-day visit to Pakistan, L.K. Advani stated Mohammad Ali Jinnah as a “secular” leader.
His controversial statement from Pakistan regarding Mohammad Ali Jinnah created huge political controversy across India and the same has adversely affected his image and his political career.
He faced widespread criticism from leaders of RSS, BJP and other political parties.
The domestic political pressure in this regard has forced him to resign from the post of BJP President upon his arrival from Pakistan.
It seems L.K. Advani was trying to shed his usual hardline tag and to recast himself as a moderate. But his statement on Jinnah back fired him in a severe manner.
The entire Indians always feels that the Jinnah was a traitor and he was the main instrumental in dividing India and creating Pakistan.
L.K. Advani is widely credited with scripting the rise of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a major political force in India.
L.K. Advani vigorously lead the decades-old movement to construct a Ram temple at Ayodhya.
His earnest political efforts and the determination to construct the Ram Temple is going to be a reality in the near future.
