On 14th November 2021 the entire India celebrated Children’s Day in the intention of increasing the awareness of the children’s rights, care and education.
On this occasion, the teachers and the children are jointly organized many programs and activities to celebrate the Children’s day in an elaborate manner from their school premises.

- Musical program
- Dance program
- Fancy Dress Program
- Teacher’s special cultural/entertainment program to entertain the students.
14th November is the birthday of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The same day India celebrates Children’s Day to pay tribute to him for his excellent efforts to preserve Children’s rights, care and education.
Till 1964, India was celebrating Children’s Day on 20th November that is the World Children’s Day of United Nations.
In 1964, just after the death of Jawaharlal Nehru, Indian Paliament has passed a resolution to celebrate Children’s day on the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Since then, Children’s Day widely celebrated in India on 14th November every year.
Pandit Nahru was always believing that the children are the future of the country and they are the main foundation of the society.
Hence, he asked everybody to take care of the children in an appropriate manner and to bring them up in a well manner.
Pandit Nehru was a great advocate of the children’s rights and for an all-inclusive education system where knowledge is accessible to all. In various occasions he said that “the children of today will make the India of tomorrow”.
The more we provides education, love, care and affection to the children, the more they will be able to contribute for the country’s growth and development and the same will determine the future of the country”.
Children are the main property and the wealth of any country. Hence, it is the duty of every citizens to protect the children, provide adequate education and develop their career in a systematic manner.
Once the children get adequate education depend on their choice and taste, they can create miracle for the country’s growth and development in future.
The main purpose of Children’s Day celebration is to make the entire citizens aware of giving rights to children to get proper education.
To create our country as a wealthy nation, innocent Children supposed to grow in the right direction and well organized manner regardless their caste, religion and the economic condition of their family.
It is the duty of central and statement government to safeguard the fate and future of the children.
Apart from the same, the government has to encourage various non-government voluntary organizations to take care of the under privileged children who have been suffering from lack of education, health care, etc.
To protect the children from exploitation, Indian government has already been enacted stringent law “The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act in 1986.
Though the government enacted strict law, unfortunately many are misusing this law and exploiting the children by making them as a child labour and stopping them to get their fundamental rights.
Please find below some of the suggestions to avoid exploitation and to safeguard the children:-
- Organize development programs for children periodically.
- Spread awareness about children’s rights.
- Provide food, toys, books, etc. for the under privileged children.
- Child Protection Law should be enforced strictly to protect the Children from any hazardous employment, exploitation and abuse.
- Provide adequate education for all the children including under privileged children.
- Organize inspirational speeches to inspire the children.
- Provide equal opportunities and facilities for all the children to develop them in a healthy manner.
