His previous contract with FC Barcelona soccer club expired on 30th June 2021. But due to the economic and structural obstacles of the Club and to stay within La Liga’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations has made them impossible for renewing the contract with Messi.

Messi started playing with FC Barcelona in 2004 at the age of 13. His age is now 34 and he is still widely known as one of the greatest soccer players and a living soccer legend in the modern world football history.

Missi is leaving FC Barcelona after completing 17 successful soccer seasons. During this period his team FC Barcelona won 35 titles, including four UEFA Champions League crowns, 10 La Liga titles, seven Copa del Reys, and eight Supercopa de Espanas.
