My thoughts about world affairs

International Peace Day

Peace is an integral part of the world

International Peace day is generally celebrates on 21st September every year. World peace is an ultimate goal of each and every person in the world.
Leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luthur King, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela have tried their level best in preserving peace in the world.

Peace is basically known as freedom from the problems and disturbance. Problems are generally part and parcel of the human being and we cannot find anybody in the world without having problems. This is all because of illness, poverty, pain, loneliness, mental and health issues, stress and fear, etc.
Peace prevails only when the people are refraining from argument, quarrelling, fighting, keeping grudge, enmity and jealous. At the same time they have to love each other and work together in a harmonious manner to live peacefully and to improve their quality of life.

Peaceful atmosphere won’t be materialized unless the people change their attitude such as hot-temper, impatient, bursting out instantly, fighting with others, ego, arrogant attitude, greedy for money, power and amassing wealth in an illegal manner.

Unconditional care, love and affection towards others helps in witnessing great deal of peace in the world. When a country and its people love other nations and their people, then they are able to promote peace in other countries also.
People in general are desires to live in a peaceful soceity. To achieve this goal, they have to adopt a lifestyle that changes their rurthless and aggressive behavior and promote humanity, forgiveness, sharing of knowledge, trust, compassion, help others and guide them for their personal development. If the people can implement the same, then they are able to preserve peace and stability in their country.

Despite having good education, knowledge based computer technology, many people and their leaders have failed miserably in bringing the peace in their country. There are some leaders who have been keeping destructive mind set and they tries to spoil the peaceful atmosphere by encouraging conflict, separation and division etc.
Earlier the Emperors were spoiling peace by carrying out war with other kingdoms and creating widespread bloodshed, butchery, bombing and massacres, etc. In the modern era, dictators and many other ambitious leaders started spoiling the world peace by carrying out war with others and encouraging conflicts.

To maitaian the peace in the world, we all just need to learn to get along and respect one another. We have to respect each other’s practices, languages, tradition, culture, community, belief etc. Unless we respect one another, it is highly difficult to get along with others.

The entire world has divided by race, nationality, patriotism, nationalistic thinking and expansionist mentality. The people also divided by religion, language, and political belief. Some of these factors are the main reasons for the internal wars, ethnic cleansing and wars.

There are some leaders who are purposely promoting the war with others that causes great deal of turmoil and devastation. Their main intention is either to occupy others land or to divert the attention from their own people.

People often ask how to maintain peace and create a peaceful world. Answer is simple. If the individuals are generous, decent, caring and helping others, then they are able to bring the peace in their society.

War spoiling world peace:-
Earlier centuries, the world has witnessed frequent war between one country to another for amassing others wealth, money, and to expanding their land. This has caused widespread crime against humanity, destruction, human exodus, killing, raping, etc. The same way, the first and second world war has created havoc in major parts of the world.

After second world war, many countries adopted democratic system. This system has helped them lot in achieving peace and stability in their country. They have given freedom to their print media and the same was one of the main instrumental in bringing peace in their country.

After the second world war, the world has witnessed many other war such as war between Israel-Muslim nations, Iran-Iraq war, Iraq-allied forces war, South- North Yemen war, Vietnam-U.S.A war, War in Libya, War in Syria and many other conflicts occurred in African countries as well. All these war had caused widespread devastation and death, injury, property loss, massive exodus, etc.

Terrorism spoiling world peace:-
Terrorism is one of the major causes in the world and it is always spoiling the peace of the world. Lot of terrorist groups are using terrorism for ethnic cleansing, harming other people, and religions. Some countries are utilizing terrorism as their strategic tool to harm other countries and their people.
Earlier I.S. hardline group has captured many Oilfield areas in Iraq as well as Syria and amassed billions of dollars by selling crude oil in the black market. They were recruiting females for keeping them as a sex slaves. Some groups were kidnapping prominent people and tourists in the intention of getting huge ransom amount from their respective country.

In such situation, it is highly important to educate all our children and mould them in such a manner to become more compassionate and a good citizen of the country. Educate them how to preserve peace without getting brain washed by others. This education should be a continuous process till they complete their entire studies. Patriotic teachings will make them a good citizen and they will always think thousand times prior to do any wrong thing.

Conclusion:-
To create peace in the society, we must live with higher level consciousness than what we have been living now. We have to get rid of arrogance, spewing hateness, violent attitude, greedy, etc. We have to demonstrate ourselves to be the best for ourselves and for others. At the same time, the entire people in the world should work unitedly to achieve world peace in the world.
