My thoughts about world affairs

Vladimir Putin

Putin is a courageous leader of Russia who reinstated old glory of USSR

Ever since Vladimir Putin became President of Russia in 2000, he implemented series of economic reforms and the Russian economy has improved drastically. He raised living standards to an unprecedented level and decreased the poverty level in a considerable manner in his country. He is the main instrumental in transforming Russia in a phenomenal manner.

In spite of U.S.’s hostile attitude towards Russia, Putin successfully prevented collapse of Russia and made Russian Federation as a superpower in the world.

He has been at the helm of Russia for the past 20 years. During this period, Putin has consolidated his power and strengthened Russia’s bilateral and military role across the world.

On 19th March 2018 Putin wins a landslide Presidential election that has given him mandate to stay till 2024 as a President of Russia.
On 1st July 2020 majorities of Russian people overwhelmingly voted in favour of Putin and his reforms programs that allows him to stay Presidential power until 2036 after his present elected Presidential term completes in 2024.

Putin’s political journey started just after he was appointed as an Prime Minister of Russia by former Russian President Boris Yatsin on 9th August 1999. On 4 September 1999 Russia witnessed a massive car bomb detonated outside a five-story apartment building in the city of Buynaksk in Dagestan, near the border of Chechnya that has caused in killing of more than 300 people injuring more than 1000.

Putin strong action against separatists:-
As this attack was allegedly carried out by breakaway Chechnya separatists, Putin asked it’s military to carry out massive aerial bombing attack at the separatists hide outs and simultaneously Putin regime recaptured Chechnya (the breakaway southern province of Russia).
Putin’s strong action against separatists and retaking of Chechnya has boosted his popularity in a phenomenal manner.

In 2000, Putin wins his first Presidential election and he never looked back afterwards. He has been ruling the country for the past 20 years either as a Prime Minister or President.

In 2002 Putin regime ordered to kill the entire Chechen terrorists who have taken more than 800 people as a hostage at a Moscow theater. To achieve the goal, Putin regime carried out a massive poison gas operation at the theatre and killed the entire separatists. Unfortunately some hostages also been killed during this Poison Gas operation.

His strong action against the separatists, retaking breakaway province Chechnya, booming of Crude Oil Price and bringing up the living standard of Russian people have immensely helped Putin’s popularity and he won his second Presidential election with thumping majority in 2004. Altogether he garnered 70% votes in this election.

In 2004 Vladimir Putin has faced worst ever political crises in his Presidential tenure. Some Islamist terrorists seized more than 1,000 people in an school in Beslan, southern Russia. The determined Putin regime carried out deadly commando operation on the terrorist target that has lead to intense cross fire between Russia commando forces and the terrorists. The siege ended only after four days and the commandos killed the entire 32 terrorists who took part in this siege. Altogether 331 people were killed including 186 children and injuring more than 700 people during this operation.

In 2008, Putin became Prime Minister of Russia after his constitutional limits serving more than two consecutive presidential terms. He handed over the presidential power to his staunch ally Dmitry Medvedev and he remained as a Prime Minister of Russia till end of his Prime Ministerial tenure

.
War between Georgia and Russia:-
In 2008 Russian military fought a brief five days war with Georgian troops. Russia launched a lightning large-scale land, air and sea invasion of Georgia on 8 August 2008 to support the Ossetian people who were systematically massacred by Georgian regime.

Annexing of Crimea into Russian Federation:-
In 2014 Russian troops captured Ukraine’s Crimea region after Ukrainian protesters ousted Russian friendly President Viktor Yanukovich. Within a short period Putin regime annexed Crimea with Russian Federation after conducting a successful referendum in Crimea region.

Action against ISIS:-
Putin lead Russia launched air strikes in Syria that was the biggest Middle East intervention in decades, turning the tide of the conflict in President Bashar al-Assad’s favor. His regime also has carried out massive air attack on Islamic state (ISIS) hideouts and destroyed majorities of ISIS military infrastructure facilities in a severe manner that was something U.S.A. could not do in 5 years.

Putin’s leadership qualities:-
Under his able and efficient leadership, the entire Russia has flourished in a better manner. He is a great leader, good President and the Russian people loves him too much. Putin is the greatest leader of Russia and the history will remember him as a brave and fearless leader. Vladimir Putin reinstated U.S.S.R’s old glory and it’s stature in a certain level.
He is a good orator, strong, highly competent, knowledgeable, charismatic, following good healthy lifestyle. He is a well spoken, intelligent politician and he got a clear cut plan and tremendous capacity to work towards achieving Russia’s goal. Because of his leadership qualities he has been getting immense respect not only from Russian people but also across the world.

Indo Russia cordial relationship:-
Though India has been a non aligned nation, but India has been heavily dependent on Russia’s defense equipment and mutual trade with Russia. Putin regime never let India down till now and he is treating India as a big market as far as defense supplies are concerned.

Putin is keeping cordial relationship with India on the basis of great cultural importance and common interests between both countries. He is always keeping good relationship with Indian leaders and helping India whenever India requires. The same way India is also helping Russia through trade and making various joint venture projects in the civilian, Crude Oil and military sectors.

India extended financial aid to Russia:-
Few months back Indian Prime Minister provided One billion dollars as a loan to Russia to help cash starving Russia financially for the development of their far east regions. Russia has been facing cash crunch ever since America and European countries imposed economic sanction on Russia for annexing Crimea region with Russian Federation.
