Recently Indian government has decided to arm India’s precision-strike BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles range from 290km to 450kms. with the upgraded Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jets.
Once BrahMos missiles armed with indigenously upgraded Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jets, then the same will enhance Indian Air force attack capabilities in an unimaginable manner.
Upgraded Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jets armed with BrahMos missiles are going to be a deadly weapons package of Indian Air force with strategic reach.
Air-to-ground BrahMos missiles are capable for carrying out pinpoint strikes on high-value military targets, underground nuclear bunkers and the command-and-control centers of land, warships, and the aircraft carriers.
As of now, India is having more than 270 Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jets. In the intention of enhancing it’s combating capabilities, majorities of them are now undergoing structural, electrical, mechanical and software modifications.
The process of modifications and upgradations are now on the fast track to enable this fighter aircraft to carry the 2.5-tonne BhahMos missiles for war combat operations.

Sukhoi-30MKI is a Russian origin twin engine- Heavy- Long Range- Air Superiority fighter Aircraft, made in India under license by Hindustan Aeronautics limited.
This fighter aircraft is a twin-engine, two seat multi-role fighter for all-weather supermaneuverable fighter aircraft developed by Russia’s Sukhoi Aviation Corporation for air-to-air and air interdiction missions.
It has got a wide range advanced capabilities such as detecting 5th Generation enemy fighter aircrafts as well Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missiles that fired from India’s hostile neighbours such as Pakistan and China.
It can travel 3,000 km with internal fuel without mid-air refuelling that ensures a 3.75 hour war combat mission.
It is able to carry conventional (non- nuclear) BrahMos missiles range from 290km to 450kms.
It is now armed with the `Rudram1′ which is a new generation anti-radiation missiles (NGARMs).
Rudram 2 (350Kms range) and Rudram 3 (550Kms. range) anti-radiation missiles (NGARMs) are now under development stage and the same can be used with the upgrade Sukhoi 30MKI fighter aircrafts in future.
Rudram 1, 2 3 series are basically an anti- radiation missiles, designed for destroying variety of enemy surveillance, communication and radar targets based on the ground from stand-off distances.
India is now on the process of upgrading majorities of Sukhoi 30MKI fighter aircrafts indigenously to convert them to “Super Sukhoi”.
Once it become Super Sukhoi, then it will be much more deadlier than before and it’s attacking capability will be enhanced as par the 5th generation fighter aircrafts that is available in different part of the world.
