Latha Mangeshkar’s unknown facts and achievements

Entire Indians in India and across the world terribly shattered upon hearing the demise of India’s melody queen Lata Mangeshkar.


She died on 6th February 2022 at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital at the age of 92 years.


Before her death, she was undergoing treatment for Covid 19 and Pneumonia treatment and she was on the ventilator support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).


She was a finest melodious singer in India and she has literally ruled Indian Music Industry about 7 decades.


During her 7 decades long singing career, she was always been non-controversial, widely respected and she managed to about 30000 songs in 36 languages.


Considering her melodious voice and her contribution towards India’s music world, she was widely known as as Nightingale of India.

  • Qualities of Latha Mangeshkar:-
  • She was always been a die-hard fan of Indian cricket team and she has contributed lot for Indian cricket team in 1983.
    Just after Indian Cricket Team won the 1983 World Cup after beating West Indies in the final, BCCI was not having enough money to felicitate India’s winning team.
    At that time the concerned BCCI officials officially approached Lata Mangeshkar to organize a musical concert in Delhi to raise adequate funds for the winning team. She accepted BCCI’s request without any hesitation.
    Her musical concert became a super hit and this concert was able to mobilize about 20 Lakhs rupees. BCCI then gave one Lakh rupees each to winning cricket team members and felicitated them.
  • Latha Mangeshkar was the first singer who have brought back the aura of respectability to the often tainted film music world.
  • Her melodious voice was the major element in the success of almost all the leading Bollywood film music composers of the Golden Era.
  • Latha Mangeshkar was always been maintaining certain dignity and courtesy in her song selection.
  • She managed to continue her singing career about 7 decades without having any major issues with her vocal chords because she was quite disciplined in taking care of her body.
  • Lata Mangeshkar was very humble and her voice was unique. She never pretend others that she was a great singer.
