Ever since U.S. and their allied military left from Afghanistan, Taliban is now finding difficulty in forming the caretaker Government in Afghanistan.
Initially everybody thought that the Taliban would form a caretaker government without any hassle and they would fulfill the promise that was stipulated in the agreement signed between Donald Trump administration and Taliban in Qatar.
As per the agreement, Taliban guaranteed that Afghanistan soil will not be used as a safe heaven by any hardcore terrorist groups such as Al Qaida and ISIS and they would prevent these groups to threaten the security of the United States and its allies.
Taliban agreed to provides adequate education for the girls, provide fundamental rights for the women to work, and protect the women/girls from physical and mental abuses.
Taliban also agreed to set up an inclusive caretaker government in Afghanistan that would be consisting of the leaders from women groups, all ethnicities and tribal backgrounds in the country.
Instead of forming an inclusive government, Taliban has allocated important portfolios to the dreaded Haqqani Network leaders, old Taliban leaders and their family members to run the caretaker government.
Please find below some of the important cabinet members in the caretaker government:-
- Mullah Hassan Akhund will be the Prime Minister who was the minister in the previous Taliban government lead by Mullah Omar from 1996 to 2001.
- Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar will be the Deputy Prime Minister who was the minister of Mullah Omar lead Taliban government.
- Sirajuddin Haqqani will be the Interior Minister who is the main leader of dreaded Haqqani Network. He is the son of Jalaluddin Haqqani who was the Minister of Mullah Oman lead Taliban Government.
- Mohammed Yaqoob will be the Defense Minister who is the son of Mullah Omar.
- Khalil Haqqani will be the Minister of Refugee Affairs who is the brother of Jalaludhin Haqqani and is one of the main leaders of dreaded Haqqani Network.
Taliban has allocated major portfolios to Talibanâs religious group leaders as well as to Haqqani Network leaders and neglected other groups. Both these factions are now fighting each other for dominating in the upcoming caretaker government.
Taliban did not appoint any minister from the women groups, ethnic groups and the minority Shia Communities.
As Taliban has completely failed in forming an inclusive government as agreed earlier, international communities are now reluctant to accept Taliban’s caretaker government.
Global leaders are now closely watching the policies of the future Taliban government and they will take appropriate action if Taliban government rules the country as per the aspiration of Afghan people.
On the one hand Taliban is finding difficulty in getting the support from International communities and on the other hand Taliban is now facing worst ever internal power struggle which has been literally creating problems in forming the caretaker government.
Recently many international medias reported that a deadly shoot out taken place in Kabal between the faction of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar and the Sirajudhin Haqqani and the Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has been killed during the shoot out.
Nobody knows whether the published news is correct or not. But one thing is clear that the Taliban government will be not be able to rule Afghanistan smoothly unless they discard their entire ruthless policies that they implemented earlier and they are now trying to implement the same in the country.
