  • Failed to form and inclusive interim government.
  • Failed to provide general amnesty for those who had worked in the previous government or with U.S. forces.
  • Failed for the protection of women’s rights.

As Afghanistan is now reeling under worst ever scarcity of life saving medicines, recently Indian government has sent 1.6-tonne consignment containing emergency life-saving medicines by a chartered flight for a children’s hospital in Afghanistan.

Apart from sending life saving medicines, India has already sent 50000 metric tons wheat to Afghanistan by using the road of Pakistan. The same was transported by Afghan based trucks from Attari-Wagah Indian border to Afghanistan.

India sent the same just after international medias reported that the people of Afghanistan is now facing worst ever scarcity of wheat and to avoid a human catastrophe in Afghanistan.

Prior to transporting the Wheat from India to Afghanistan via Pakistan’s roads, Pak government was insisting that the trucks of Pakistan operating under the UN banner to move the India’s wheat from Indo Pak Attari-Wagah border to Afghanistan.

But the Government of India flatly rejected their ideas. Indian Government insisted that either Indian trucks or the Afghan trucks to carry the Indian wheat to Afghanistan from Attari-Wagah Indian border to Afghanistan.

While sending the humaniatarian assistance to Afghanistan, Indian government has to make sure that the life saving medicines and the wheet supposed to be reached to the common people of Afghanistan.

Ever since Taliban formed the government in Afghanistan, they have been asking Indian government to recognize their government as soon as possible and resume the developmental works that India was carrying out in Afghanistan for the past several years.

India began developmental work in Afghanistan in 2012 and they have continued the same till Taliban captured Kabul and other parts of Afghanistan.

From 2012 onwards till February 2021, Indian Government has already been spent more than 3 billion dollars for constructing various projects such as dams, roads, highways, Afghan Parliament building and other infrastructural projects. Many important projects are still yet to be completed.

India stopped the entire developmental work ever since Taliban formed the interim government in Afghanistan. India is now very much worrying whether the benefit of the completed infrastructural projects will reach to the common people of Afghanistan or not.
