Manmohan Singh contributed lot for reviving India’s growth & economy
On 26th September 2021, former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh celebrated his 89th birthday. On this occasion, Birthday wishes poured on him from various political leaders as well as his well wishers through social medias and other communication channels.
Manmohan Singh never thought that would become Finance Minister of India in 1991. The newly elected Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao inducted him in his central ministry as a Finance Minister while India was facing worst ever economic crisis.
Manmohan Singh became 22nd Finance Minister of India on 21st June 1991 and he was handling the finance ministry till 16th May 1996.
Ever since he became Finance Minister of India, with the support of Narasimha Rao, Manmohan Singh implemented widespread economic reform programs.
His economic reform programs saved India from a disastrous Balance of Payment crisis in 1992 and the same has immensely helped in reviving Indian economy on the right track.
With the support of Narasimha Rao, he has removed the entire obstacles of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and initiated the process of the privatization of public sector companies.
Manmohan Singh was born on 26th September 1932 in Gah village of West Punjab which is now in Pakistan. Just after the partition of India, his family migrated to India in 1947.
While he was studying, there was no electricity and transport facilities in his village and he forced to walk miles and miles to attend the school everyday. He has completed his education with great difficulty.
He has taken doctorate in economics from Oxford University, United Kingdom.
Manmohan Singh became Prime Minister of India in 2004 and he ruled the country for a period of 10 years. During this period he has completely dedicated to his job and fully committed towards the Indian people and their well being.
He is very simple, humble, down to earth and his honesty, decency and the dedication towards the nation are a source of inspiration among the entire Indian people. He was always giving more important to the nation rather than giving publicity to himself.
During his prime ministerial tenure, he has discharged his entire duties with the best of his abilities and worked hard for the betterment of Indian people and the country.
While Manmohan Singh was serving as Prime Minister of India, he was always been refraining from making any falls promises to the people. Instead, he was busy in fulfilling the promises that has mentioned in the party election manifesto.
He never been an aspirant or greedy for the power. At the same time the chances of power were always flowing on him like a river.

- Right to Education for Children (R.T.E.)
- Financial Stability Board (F.S.B)
Manmohan Singh is a master in Banking, Economics, Finance and his greatest assets are his honesty, knowledge, patience and the silence in spite of gravest provocations.
